▪ Cleft lip can be unilateral, bilateral, or midline in location. ▪ Isolated cleft palate is more difficult to diagnose
sonographically and may be missed altogether.
– Nonetheless, coronal and axial imaging of the face have been shown very effective in discovering these defects.
