A decidual reaction is considered to be a non-specific sonographic finding of pregnancy because the endometrium can also appear thick and echogenic during the secretory phase of the endometrial cycle and in the presence of an ectopic pregnancy.
¡ A correlation between hCG levels and sonographic findings should be performed.
