Greensboro Lions Club Marty Gangemi Memorial
Car Show Huge Success
Lions Clubs of Caroline The 8th Annual Marty Gangemi Memorial Car Show was
hosted by the Greensboro Lions Club on Saturday, June 4th at
“We Serve” the Greensboro Elementary School. The new school grounds
proved to be an excellent location for the show with 91 entries.
Greensboro Lions 4th of July Activities Numerous door prizes were given out throughout the day and
the Lions sold out of their famous BBQ chicken.
The Greensboro Lions Club will host their Annual 4th of July
Activities on Monday, July 4th starting at 10 a.m. at Charles
Bilbrough Memorial Park, Rt. 480, Greensboro. Free games
and ice pops for all ages. BBQ chicken will be on sale starting
at 11 a.m. (½ chicken and roll for $8).

Marydel Lions College Scholarship
Program Reinstated
After a two plus year Covid-enforced fundraising hiatus the
members of the Marydel Lions Club are able, thanks to the
tremendous support from our community members, to rein-
state the Club’s very popular and successful college scholar-

Fire Company President, Kevin Parks. derived from the income that is generated via our Club’s very
popular Chicken BBQ Dinners/ ‘World Famous Funnel Cake’
Events and the Club’s Ladies Purse Bingo Activities.
The Club’s $500 College Scholarship Program is designed so
as to be available, upon annual reapplication and satisfactory
academic progress, to follow each student through their fresh-
man, sophomore, junior and senior years. Th is forthcoming
2022 – 2023 academic year will fi nd our recipients majoring
in Agricultural Communication, Criminology, Engineering,
Environmental Science, Equine Business/Equine Assisted
Therapies and Skilled Medical Nursing.
The Marydel Lions Club, as a member of Lions Club’s
International, is required to return to the communities and
geographical areas that we serve 100% of the money that we
accrue from our fundraisers. Thus, the Club’s College scholar-
ship Program is but one of a number of other local projects and
programs that the Club has chosen to aid during our funding
support year of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. Please refer
