The Elkton-based Acoustic Turnpike is known for its high
energy performance of progressive bluegrass, gospel, and even
a little pop and swing. Members include Mike Kirchner on
banjo and rhythm guitar, Bob McEvory as lead vocalist and

dobro, Barb Wood on bass fiddle and Ed Bonghi on mandolin
and the high lonesome harmony vocals that defi ne the blue-
grass sound.
The concert is produced by the Eastern Shore Bluegrass

Association (ESBA), a not-for-profit association of volunteers
committed to promoting and supporting this American music.
ESBA is more than 50 years old and the Sunday, November 12

concert is one of nine monthly performances. They are typically
