an eagerness to become a new family. The day their adoption
was finalized I could see a contentment in their eyes and the
smiles on their faces. At their celebration dinner, they asked
if they could call me Auntie and their adoptive mother told
me that I was also now family. To see these children welcomed
into the fold as if they’d always belonged…..That’s what family
is all about. I thank God every day for finding this family for
these precious gems!”
National Adoption Month is also a call to action. Become a
foster family, open your home to adoption, become a CASA All
volunteer, a youth mentor, or support an organization that FREE Welcome
helps children living in foster care. To learn more about Community
