Head Golf Professional
Job Summary
The Head Golf Professional will oversee and manage the entire golf operation. The
position will work cooperatively with the other departments to maintain a cohesive
working unit. Supervise the staff, scheduling, training and professional development of
the golf staff personnel. Establish policies and procedures for the golf operation. Promote
an exceptional “golf experience” and provide excellent services and programs for the
members and their guests.
Job Tasks (Duties)
1. Establish and manage to a budget, including forecasting and review of all golf
revenues and expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
2. Recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of all golf staff including
assistants and teaching professionals, outside assistants, play coordinators, shop
personnel, bag room staff, and range staff.
3. Implementation of policies and procedures and regular scheduling of staff
meetings
4. Manage all golf services and operations
5. Oversee lease agreement and maintenance of the golf car fleet
6. Oversee the starting procedures and monitoring of play
7. Track and verify all member and guest play
8. Establish procedures to ensure that all billings and properly reconciled daily and
monthly
9. Manage the bag room to the highest level of service. Provide accounts receivable
with a list every March of members in storage who need to be billed for the year
10. Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage
