III. Pricing Merchandise
A. All items are to be priced before being put out onto the floor
B. Price tags should be visible and neatly attached to the merchandise
C. All merchandise should show the manufactures suggested retail price
IV. Displaying Merchandise
A. Display coordinated pieces together
B. Ladies clubs should be in the ladies area
C. Change displays weekly
D. Keep displays neat and clean
V. Types of Payments
A. Member Charges
1. Always get the member’s signature when possible
2. Describe in detail what the sale consists of
B. Cash Sales
1. Ring cash sales in register under cash
2. Count the change back to the customer
3. Give customer a receipt
C. Credit Card Sales
1. All major credit cards will be accepted
2. Ring credit card sales through the register under credit card
3. Have customer signed approval and give a copy of the receipt
VI. Close out Procedures
A. An itemized closeout of the day’s sales for member charges and the cash register
should be printed with the closeout date
B. Everything should be balanced and any errors correct
C. The itemized breakdown on the daily sales should be recorded in the daily ledger
under cash, member charges or credit card
D. Copies of the balanced closeouts should be filed in a monthly sales file
