Family and friends, watch us as we go into ‘Spring Mode.’ To folks without
an understanding of our industry, it appears that we may be losing
our minds as we become reclusive to personal gatherings, with short
conversations, while rushing to organize our crews. Behind the curtains, we
have developed a well-organized stage of events to produce some of the
best landscape products and services on the East Coast.
The early spring weather has given our industry a jumpstart to the season.
With the lingering threat of a late freeze in the air, we have experienced
some great weather to work the ground in preparation for the upcoming
season.
The economic indicators encourage us to produce our products with a
positive outlook for a profitable season to come. The supply issues from
last year have corrected themselves. The price of our raw materials has
stabilized even with a reduction in some raw material costs. The price of
diesel at the time I write this is 89 cents lower than last year’s all-time high.
The MNLGA event calendar for 2023 will bring us to venues around
Maryland that will offer our members new ideas and encourage us to move
our businesses into the future of the green industry. Please watch for the
upcoming field days and educational programs. Your participation makes
this association one of the best in the country.
