Hamilton: High Street toward Soldiers, Sailors and Pioneers Monument at toe of High-Main Bridge
Above: Three bridges fell at Hamilton within two hours and a fourth fell about 12 hours later. The High-Main Bridge fell at about 12:30 p.m. on March 25. Residents on the east side of the bridge ran for safety as the bridge began to collapse and overhead wires fell. Note the Soldiers, Sailors and Pioneers Monument at the left side of the photo.
