Right: The Miami County Courthouse, completed 25 years before the Great Flood, was built on a rise
that stayed relatively dry during the ood, although water surrounded it on three sides.
Far Right: The Miami County Courthouse underwent a $7.2 million restoration of the exterior cast-iron domes, slate roof, bell and more. The rededication
of the courthouse was held July 3, 1998.
Weather conditions re ect beautifully in the building’s windows.
