Middletown: Fourth and Main is today’s First and Main
Left: Waves of oodwaters reached 4 to 5 feet down Main Street in Middletown past the white brick building, known as the Dr. T.A. Dickey House. Constructed prior to 1860, the house was located at Fourth and Main in 1913, but Fourth Street was later renamed First Street.
Right: Today, the well-proportioned building houses apartment units. A shady side yard and porch have replaced the wooden house that had been next door.
