Midwest Regional Director’s Report 2019-2020
And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap; if we faint not.
~Galatians 6:9
It has been my distinct honor to serve as the Midwest Regional Director. This position has
great responsibility which requires dedication and tenacity for getting the job done. My first
year as Regional Director has been a learning and challenging experience. The experience has
strengthened my knowledge base and taught me what to improve upon for the coming years.
Goals for my tenure are:
1. Increase and maintain membership
2. Increase Xinos and Kudos Participation
3. Increase Community Awareness across the Region
Thus far, we are off to a good start with increasing membership. We had eight chapters who
held Krinon Lines this 2019-20 Sororal year. This gives us a total of 46 new Sorors. Giving the
Midwest Region a total of 548 Sorors for the 2019-20 Sororal year. Due to the current Covid19
pandemic, we had to make some adjustments in our membership process. Chapters were
highly creative with their virtual Krinon lines. Kudos to all the chapters for having a successful
virtual Krinon line. Sorors let us continue to stay the course, be sisterly and retain and recruit
Sorors to grow our Vineyard.
The participation of youth in our local communities have decreased over the years for several
reasons. As educators, we must be resilient, stay involved, and create new ways to keep our
youth involved in positive efforts that will add value to them and produce future leaders. I am
appreciative for efforts to address youth involvement. Kudos to the Regional Xinos and Kudos
chairs. They have created new beginnings with our Youth groups.
The 72 Youth Conference was scheduled to be hosted in Kansas City, KS March 26-29, 2020.
