Thankful in the SCA
As you read this, you are undoubtedly beginning to think about Thanksgiving. Will the turkey be traditionally cooked, smoked or deep fried? Besides the stuffing, what other sides will you be having? Besides all the food being brought in by the family and passed around, one of the traditions many do is to say what they are thankful for. We’ve heard the saying, “There should be 364 days of giving thanks and only one day for grumbling.” However, we do have this one day and we at the SCA are very thankful, not just on Thanksgiving Day but the rest of the year as well.
We are thankful for all of our promoters, who when thrown the curveball known as COVID, never gave up on their events. They just stepped back and re-planned them as they could. We are thankful for all our cooks who continue to come out week after week to cook their hearts out. Without our cooks, there would be no SCA. We are thankful for the Will Rogers Memo-
