If you are looking for a new flavor profile then we have something you need to try. Wine-infused oak smoking pel- lets. We have all seen pellets and chips made from the bar- rels that are used to produce different types of adult beverages but these pellets are produced from the oak wood chunks used to flavor different wines. This process infuses the wine inside the wood and makes for a more in- tense flavor versus the barrels that are used in some woods.
These pellets use no fillers, binders, or oils and are pro- duced in California wine country. Typically, the wood used is French White Oak that has already been carefully toasted to remove any harsh compounds before being used inside the wine barrels during the aging process. These guys col- lect the used oak chunks from several different local winer- ies and then naturally turn the chucks into pellets.
The result from this process added a ton of flavor to all of our testing samples. Chicken thighs, pork steaks, and grilled pizzas were all super good and without question, they were different versus our normal wood pellet-pro- duced products.
The most notable difference came when we tested some
boneless and skinless chicken thighs. We set our RecTeq pellet grill at 200 degrees and gave our samples a slow smoke bath for the first 30 mins before turning the heat up to 350 degrees to finish them up with a little bit of char. The final results caught our taste buds by surprise as the sweet smoke imparted a flavor profile that we have never tasted before.
Without question, we will be using these flavor-making pellets on lots of other proteins shortly but fully expect we will find that unique flavor profile in all of these experi- ments as well. You can find more about this tremendous new product from their website at https://winecountry- bbq.com/.
