Candidate for Treasurer (1 to be elected)
GREGORY M. KLINE, PT, DPT, EDD, MBA OPTA DISTRICT: NORTHEAST DISTRICT DATE OF CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP: 2013
It is my honor to be considered as a candidate for Treasurer in the Ohio Chapter . It has been my privilege to interact and work with other association members at the state and local levels . I am grateful because I see this as an opportunity to ensure the executive board will continue to manage our chapter’s membership dues and financial stability effectively. I have served as Treasurer for the Northeast District since 2017 which has improved my familiarity with how the OPTA functions at an operational level . In addition, I have seven years’ experience in higher education overseeing budgets comprised of private and state funds . If elected as Treasurer, I will strive to collaborate with the executive board to enhance the OPTA’s comprehensive budget in alignment with the goals and initiatives for 2020 and beyond . Thank you for your consideration as a candidate for OPTA Treasurer .
Candidates for Director III (1 to be elected)
KIMBERLY DOOLITTLE-KORAN, PT, DPT, OCS OPTA DISTRICT: EAST CENTRAL
DATE OF CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP: 2007
It is an honor to be nominated and slated for the position of Director III . I have been very fortunate to be involved with OPTA over the last 10 years . It was during my time as a student, winning an essay contest and traveling to a State Policy & Payment Forum, that I realized how the OPTA impacts our profession . I have remained involved since then and I am thankful for the opportunities over the last several years to serve on the Board as Treasurer, Nominating Committee Chair and current appointment as Director III . My experience has given me a strong understanding of the function of the state chapter while appreciating and recognizing the needs of the members to drive our profession forward .
As healthcare continues to change with rising costs, lower reimbursement, increasing regulatory burdens and higher costs of PT education, OPTA never remains passive . We have a strong chapter that advocates for our profession, our members, students, patients and clients to make positive changes . This is also an exciting time fostering the growth of our new professionals and enhancing the skills of leaders within our association . It would truly be a privilege to be a part of this well-respected leadership and move forward on these endeavors .
My experience, my passion for physical therapy and my ability to remain open-minded and collaborate with others are integral to be a successful Director . I look forward to serving our membership and I am grateful for your consideration .
