I am humbled to be nominated for the Chief Delegate position . I have had the opportunity to serve our membership on multiple levels, most recently as Ohio Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates (2016 to present) and Vice President of OPTA (2009 to 2015) . I have gained so much as an active member of our professional association because of the people and the relationships developed . We have an amazing group of delegates in Ohio who inspire me to help strengthen our profession and promote the value of physical therapy . It is that motivation and passion that continues to excite me about our profession and this position .
Ohio is a well-respected delegation who has successfully brought forward several motions in the last few years that were passed in the House of Delegates including Clinician (PT/PTA) Well-being & Resiliency and the need for limited English proficiency online resources to better serve our patients.
The role of the Chief Delegate is to coordinate activities throughout the year to prepare the OPTA Delegation for the upcoming House of Delegates . I would love to have the opportunity to collaborate, organize and lead our delegation to ensure OPTA members have a voice as we shape the future of our profession . Your input is important to our work as delegates and I look forward to your ideas, suggestions and feedback as we move our profession forward .
I respectfully request your support and vote as Chief Delegate for our association . Thank you for your consideration .

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2012 and 2010, respectively. I have been working in the field of outpatient oncology rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center- Arthur G . James Cancer Hospital and Richard J . Solove Research Institute for seven years and have my specialization in lymphedema management . In that time, I have served on several multidisciplinary committees to improve the quality and efficiency of care provided to oncology patients. These collaborations have led to quality initiatives and, subsequently, the development of ancillary clinics in the areas of geriatrics, hematology and orthopedic oncology . Most recently, I have collaborated with physicians in the areas of sarcoma and plastic surgery, focusing on oncologic amputation and resulting in associated publications in the Journal of Surgical Oncology and the Rehabilitation Oncology Journal . I am currently in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University . The MBA program has provided me with tangible skills to expand healthcare administration, quality improvement and leadership . Among my colleagues, I am known for my drive, problem-solving skills and passion for partnership and my dynamic ability to enhance operational service line processes . I have a clear personal vision that allows me to lead with integrity, authenticity and vulnerability. By keeping patients first at the core mission, encouraging my peers to share their passion and expertise creates a culture of caring values in our field.
