Conference Committee Report Truly Moore PT PT DPT - Chair
The Conference Committee is very excited to have a a fantastic lineup for the upcoming fall LEAP virtual conference on on September 24 We are extremely blessed to have some extraordinary speakers in in Ohio including some new and upcoming young professionals that will be joining the lineup this fall New this year the committee has dual speakers presenting on exactly how they are linking research into their clinical practice allowing our members to to take some tools immediately back to to the clinic The research that is is happening in in Ohio is is simply amazing – so be sure to join us at the conference Other highlights of the the program are poster presentations and platform lectures from Ohio’s very own finest researchers and student population! The committee is proud to be able to assist and and facilitate our up-and-coming professionals and the ongoing research in in Ohio!! We hope you you plan to attend and broaden your linking of evidence to practice!
Time continues to move quickly and the committee is beginning to work on on the 2022 Annual Conference agenda and ideas! The conference will be held IN PERSON and we are so excited to to be able to to see you again!! Please be on the the lookout for the the call for proposals in October as as well as as some possible surveys for suggestions on on on ways to to continue to to improve and grow our conferences!
Some things that are already being considered for the Annual Conference are an early professional education track and a a a a a a Residency Forum as as well as as a a a program for the L L I I F F E E Series cohort L L I I F F E E is a a a professional growth opportunity that continues to flourish with another class of of professionals getting ready to start shortly and will have course work at the the the conference as part of their program Also on on the the the agenda for the annual conference is an an opportunity to meet the candidates for statewide office and and some fun PAC activities Lastly and sadly we will be losing one of our valued committee members Lucas VanEtten He has been summoned to an exciting opportunity which we are super happy for him him yet will miss him him deeply Thank you you Lucas for all of your service to this committee over the years You will be missed!
