Candidates for Treasurer
(1 to be elected)
Kim Doolittle-Koran, PT, DPT, OCS OPTA District: East Central
Date of Chapter Membership: 2007
It has been an honor to serve as Treasurer of the OPTA over the last two years and I am excited for the opportunity to continue this path as Treasurer. I rst became intrigued by the association as a student and found this chapter to be inspiring I quickly became active at the district level, eventually operating as District Chair As current Treasurer, I have
demonstrated the capability to work alongside the Finance Committee, Executive Director, and Board of Directors during all aspects of the budgetary process. I provide nancial oversight on a monthly basis and make recommendations
to the Board while considering the mission and goals of the association and keep the member’s best interest in the forefront My administrative role with Summa Health brings experience of employee engagement and recognition, patient satisfaction, marketing and growth, enhancing productivity, quality assurance, and daily operations and scheduling challenges I work with my team to ensure we provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based care
therapist identi ed in the CBR, not to the facility. Take the report seriously, as it is identifying variances in your billing
from your peers The same codes are being analyzed in the 2017 data as it was in 2015 (CPT codes 97001, 97035, 97110, 97112, 97140, 97530, & G0283) If you receive a report in both years, you should pay particular attention to what the reports say There may not be a problem but your documentation must re ect medical necessity and your billing re ect what was performed for the patient The difference from your peers may trigger a deeper review of your documentation from CGS It is a perfect time to review documentation policies and to insure all therapists follow documentation requirements

I take much pride in the prospect of having the opportunity to serve as Treasurer for the OPTA Having been raised in a family where nancial prudence and scal responsibly was stressed with every adjustment of the thermostat, turn or the faucet, and ip of a light switch I can certainly appreciate the importance of the Treasurer role Even as I progress
