time and effort that is required of the position to represent Ohio effectively During my tenure, collectively in the House of Delegates, we have revised the Code of Ethics and the Vision Statement These documents will guide our profession and association for years to come These are exciting times for the House of Delegates, I sincerely hope to be a participant in these conversations to continue to promote the APTA’s vision I ask for your vote to be a delegate for OPTA so that I may continue to be of service to you and our profession

For the last six years, I have been an active member of the
APTA and I am excited to have the opportunity to become more involved in this organization As a practicing Physical Therapist for the past three years, I am constantly striving to grow personally and professionally I feel a great responsibility to be taking a role in an association which supports the
profession I love My involvement in the PAC and State Affairs Committee has broadened my understanding of key issues
that impact our profession I look to contribute positive, fresh ideas through this position I’m excited to learn and grow while absorbing knowledge from those around me I pledge to be a hard-working, organized individual ready for this new challenge

It has been a great honor to serve as an Ohio Delegate to the APTA’s House of Delegates The Ohio chapter and delegation has been recognized nationally for being very active However, we must not stop at this critical time It would be my honor to represent Ohio’s physical therapy professionals and our collective beliefs as it relates to our nation’s
healthcare reform, suggested models of payment for physical therapy services, alternative pain management choices, and create opportunities for physical therapists to be recognized as the practitioner of choice I am passionate about serving our physical therapy profession, and believe that the delegate role is critical to our future as professionals In my past term,
I worked with physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to ensure our collective voices were heard I work in several roles within physical therapy, an active clinician, clinical researcher, faculty member (in DPT education), educational consultant, and pro-bono PT services to an underserved population I believe my current positions provides a foundation and additional network for resources to better understand critical issues at a state and national level I believe the Ohio delegation can grow to be even better and have a larger voice
working together with our colleagues to create our future Being a part of this decision-making body, at this time of my career, and work with forward thinking colleagues to help shape our future, would be an honor Please vote for me and let’s move forward together!

It would be an honor to serve as
a delegate for the Ohio Chapter As
a physical therapist and ergonomic consultant in private practice, I have been passionate as an advocate
for change to improve our practice environment My strengths include persistence and practical experience with systems improvements, legislative advocacy, membership, networking
and applied research I believe that it takes bottom up action by members in all districts and practice settings to create better opportunities for physical therapy professionals and the people we serve

It is an honor to be considered for an OPTA delegate position and
I am excited at the possibility to continue serving in this role Over
the past three terms as an OPTA Delegate, I have gained considerable experience in my understanding
of the current issues affecting our state Additionally, as the Northeast District State Affairs Coordinator, Ohio
legislative representative to the APTA Sports Section, and active legislative advocate, I am aware of the current issues affecting our profession Furthermore, as a residency trained and board certi ed clinician currently nishing a manual therapy fellowship, I have a passion for physical therapy and desire to help strengthen our profession Through my prior experience as delegate I have a better understanding of the discussion and direction we need to take in our profession
to reach our true potential as health care providers I truly believe that continuing to work in the capacity of delegate is an area I can signi cantly contribute in to help all members of our association I greatly appreciate your consideration for the position of delegate and look forward to the possibility of continuing to contribute to one of the greatest chapters of the APTA, the Ohio chapter
