   ✓ Develops from one flower with many separate pistils
(Apocarpous ovary) each free carpel develops a fruit.

Examples: Strawberry, Raspberries, Blackberries.

    They may be:
1- Aggregate of achenes (strawberry)
2- Aggregate of follicles (star anise).

                                                3‐ Composit

   ✓ Develops from ovaries of several flowers borne/fuse
(Developed from inflorescence)

Strobile:
Derived from a scaly inflorescence e.g., Hops.
Sorosis:
Derived from a spike inflorescence, with swollen fle
embedded and fused together by fleshy bracts (Lon
