                                                                                          he  Fifth  Reunion  of  the  Regiment  of  Artillery  was
                                                                                                                                                  nd
                                                                                    T  celebrated at the Artillery Centre, Nasik Road from 2
                                                                                        th
                                                                                    to  4  December  1972.  The  Reunion could be  scheduled only
                                                                                    after  the  1971  operations.  Distinguished  senior  officers  who

                                                                                    were  present  for  the  Reunion  were  General  PP
                                                                                    Kumaramangalam,  DSO          (Retired),   Honorary    Colonel
                                                                                    Commandant,  Lieutenant  General  KP  Candeth,  PVSM,  the
                                                                                    Senior  Colonel  Commandant  and  Lieutenant  General  JFR

                                                                                    Jacob, PVSM. Brigadier Chranjit Singh was the Commandant
                                                                                    School  of  Artillery  and  Colonel  AV  Ramchandani  the
                                                                                    Commandant Artillery Centre, Nasik Road.


                                                                                           The  Gunners’  performance  had  been  validated  in
                                                                                    operations  :  every  commander  in  the  field  without  exception
                                                                                    had  acclaimed  their  battle  winning  role.  The  Regiment  had
                                                                                    claimed  a  tally  of  339  awards  in  the  1971  conflict.  On  the

                                                                                    occasion were present, dependents of some of the Gunners who
                                                                                    made the supreme sacrifice in defence of the motherland.
