FIFTH REUNION - 1972

             Ceremonial Parade



                   he  Reunion  commenced  with  a  spectacular  ceremonial
             T  parade.  The  spectators  including  pensioners  and  high

             ranking  civil  and  military  officers  cheered  and  applauded  the
             colourful and impressive parade. The parade was commanded
             by Colonel AV Ramchandani, Commandant Artillery Centre,
             Nasik Road. Lieutenant General KP Candeth, PVSM took the
             salute.


                    Addressing  the  Parade  in  Hindi,  the  Senior  Colonel
             Commandant  said  that  it  was  a  matter  of  pride  that  all

             commanders  were  full  of  praise  for  how  the  Regiment  had
             acquitted itself during the 1971 conflict. He further said than an
             idea  of  the  value  of  the  Regiment  could  be  gauged  by  the
             number of Gallantry awards won.


                    Lieutenant  General  KP  Candeth,  PVSM  added  that,
             these Reunions act as a link between the past and the present
             and the young will learn much from seeing and listening to the

             veterans who attend the gathering and the veterans see how the
             traditions they helped to establish are being upheld.
