traditions, attracting attention of not only
“its public, but also all Russia’s public”.
        The performance “Nyyrbakaan” about the
        foremother Nyyrbakaan of Vilyuysk kins
has been one of the interesting theatre
works for the last years. It is on the motive
of the V.S. Yakovlev’s short story Dalana,
the first night of which took place in 2013.
The theatre has got a specific testing site,
        where the choreographic performance such
as “Lolita” was staged, on the motives of
the similarly named V. Nabokov’s novel.
It was done in 1998 with V. Shadrin’s and
        N. Petrov’s music. The choreography is of
        L. Gabysheva. This chamber performance
is for four soloists and dancers’ group.
        The choreographer and director showed
        three Gumbert’s hypostases played
by four soloists that reveal the hero’s
        contradictoriness, complexity, and many-
sidedness. The critics wrote about the
        “indirectness and symbolic dance formulae”.

               a new quality level.
                   Now around one

                   hundred people
                      are working in
                   the theatre. It is
               constantly updated

                    by new creative
                    forces, the tour
               geography expands
                each year, and the
