INDIAN SPRINGS CORRECTIONAL CENTER
The Indian Springs Correctional Center project, built for the Nevada State Public Works Board, included the renovation and new construction of a 119,300-square-foot prison complex in Indian Springs, NV. The facility houses a detention facility and vocational work camp on a 35-acre land parcel and supports approximately 500 staff members with a capacity to accommodate over 4,000 inmates. The correctional complex, comprised of six buildings, was constructed of a block structural frame with masonry and steel. The project features specialized security technology, including camera surveillance throughout the detention area and work camp for correctional officer safety and the management of inmates. The complex also includes work bays and dining areas for the inmates. The Indian Springs Correctional Center project now provides an updated environment for the Department of Corrections.
