CITY OF AVONDALE POLICE PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE
The Police Property and Evidence project, built for the City of Avondale, consisted of a multiphase addition and renovation to an existing police department in Avondale, AZ. Phase I included a 14,800-square-foot expansion which added a new evidence room, public lobby, armory, and evidence warehouse, as well as a mezzanine with narcotics and firearms storage. The new warehouse has the capacity to store over 65,000 evidence items. In Phase II of the project, renovations to the existing building included a new simulator room, records area, reception, briefing room, conference rooms, and break area. The facility was constructed on a slab-on-grade foundation, a masonry structural frame, an EIFS exterior skin, and a foam roof. The state-of-the-art Police Property and Evidence facility now provides property and evidence professionals the appropriate space to handle and store sensitive material.
