DALLAS SOUTH CENTRAL POLICE SUBSTATION
The Dallas South Central Police Substation project, built for the City of Dallas, included the new construction of a 38,000-square-foot municipal law enforcement station located in Dallas, TX. The law enforcement station was constructed of a structural steel frame, concrete masonry unit block walls, brick veneer, and a limestone panel exterior. Recycled wood, metal, concrete, and paper materials were used throughout the construction of the administrative offices, detention cells, records, storage, restrooms, vehicle service bays, and fueling areas. Additionally, utilities and street work were upgraded to meet the law enforcement and safety needs of the community. This project achieved LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainability and energy efficiency. The Dallas South Central Police Department project now provides an environment for facilitating community involvement with law enforcement in the south-central region of the city.
