HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY
The Human Development Center project, built for Louisiana State University, included the new construction of a four-story, 115,083-square-foot educational building located in New Orleans, LA. The facility houses the University’s Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Education and Research, and Service Department for the Campus Health Sciences complex. The construction consisted of a slab-on-grade concrete foundation, a concrete structural frame, a precast and curtain wall exterior, and a lightweight insulating roof. The project also features medical offices, a library, and laboratories. The Human Development Center now provides collegiate interdisciplinary education, research, and community services to downtown New Orleans.
