Practicum, specified as a part of curriculum prescribed by the
TRIBHUVAN UNIVERSITY (TU) where in students are required to
gain practical knowledge and experiences by working as a trainee
architect in an architectural firm assisting professional architects.
During practicum students gain immense insights regarding
the real world of architecture. This course helps to train students in
various fields such as technical, practical, structural, economical,
architectural and other aspects of design, in preparing reports,
municipal drawings, estimating and costing, dealing with different
professionals, engineers, clients etc. It basically prepare students
and makes them familiar with the office environment and trends.
Thus, practicum helps to broaden students' knowledge, build their
confidence and eventually prepare them professionally.

During my practicum, I joined Outre Design Pvt. Ltd. at
Kupondole as a trainee architect for 130 days. This practicum report
reflects my experiences as a trainee architect on various projects
aiming to develop practical knowledge on the architectural field.
