The CIC-ZCP in Kowloon East showcases Hong Kong’s state-of- the-art eco-building design and technologies which can generate energy from renewable sources and export surplus energy to the city grid.
v Boasts zero net energy consumption and zero carbon emissions;
v Deploys over 80 different green building technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;
v Continuously monitors itself through more than 2,800
sensing points and optimises environmental performance;
v Its five microclimate stations monitor how the building interacts with its surroundings;
v Provides natural air conditioning and a sanctuary for small wildlife;
v Inspires people and the building industry to go green;
v Won the 2017 International Data Corporation Smart City Asia Pacific Awards under
the Smart Buildings category.
