Jeff Heath, Sarah Pinsonneault, and So Ra CS Wind launches first UW workplace campaign

UNITED WAY/CENTRAIDE WINDSOR-ESSEX
COUNTY RECENTLY WELCOMED CS WIND TO
ITS FAMILY OF CORPORATE PARTNERS.

The international wind tower manufacturer
entered the Canadian market four years ago,
setting up shop in east Windsor, and helping the
city diversify its employment base.

Jeff Heath, Director of Corporate Affairs at CS
Wind, says it’s been a whirlwind – pun intended
– getting the operation up and running, but now
that they have settled in, it is time to put down
some roots in the community, and that’s why they
have partnered with United Way.

“One of the things we want to do is to make
employees feel a better sense of ‘being’ – feel
part of the community. We don’t want them just
coming to work, and then they feel that they just
punch a clock and they punch out,” says Heath.

CS Wind’s roots are in Korea, and its corporate
parent recently celebrated its 30th anniversary by
creating a charitable foundation. The foundation
was established with a $2.5 million corporate gift,
and another $2.5 million personally donated by
the International Chairman.
