Cosmos From My Terrace
Vigyan Prasar had initiated lending of telescopes and other backend instruments facility to identified schools/ VIPNET Clubs of Delhi and NCR region in the year 2013. In 2019-20, seven VIPNET clubs were shortlisted; all of them are inside school clubs. It is expected that the clubs will use these facilities to enrich and enhance astronomy education in and around their school and surrounding area. There are a total of seven telescopes with VP, and all are manually operated. A one-day training workshop to train them for the handling of the telescope was organised on 14 June 2019 at Vigyan Prasar, NOIDA. The telescopes were lent for one year. During the lending period, clubs were requested to send the regular report of their work.
