Long- distance short wave communication was also demonstrated where stations outside India were contacted from a portable make-shift station.
Study materials brought out by Vigyan Prasar were provided to the students to prepare for the radio licencing examination conducted by the Ministry of Communications. MNIT Jaipur has offered their Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) department library room for training and setting up of an amateur radio club station. An alumnus of the institute, Dr. Kailash Gupta, VU2KIZ (USA call-sign KG6SQR) who coordinated the programme gifted his amateur radio equipment to MNIT Jaipur to establish a station.
