Out of 52 episodes of the serial, eight are interactive based on letters, SMS and emails and feedback received from the listeners. To answer the queries, subject experts are invited in the studio to provide additional inputs on the segment broadcast.
The additional material to be provided in the form of kit is also ready and will be sent soon to AIR stations producing the language versions of the programme.
The broadcast of the serial in Hindi and English was completed on 23 March 2020. In other languages, the broadcast will be over by the end of June 2020.
Development of kit on “Understanding Climate Change through Hands-On”
A Hands-on Activity Kit as part of supplementary material for the ongoing radio serial was designed and developed through a series of brainstorming sessions and meetings with different stakeholders including subject experts, designers, and the user groups. In brainstorming meetings based on the sequencing and the content of the each episode, around 75 concepts were developed and finally about 50 have been included in final draft of the Kit. After the finalisation of the kit, same has been tested with a group of students and teachers and science communicators. The feedback received from these groups has been incorporated in the final draft of the kit. The same is ready for duplication.
