Series of National Workshops on Science Film-making
VP organised a series of four national workshops on science film-making at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Bhopal and Kolkata with the objectives of capacity building in the area of science and environment filmmaking. About 400 participants were trained in the grammar of science film making. Some of the aspects covered were selection of theme, conceptualisation, production and post- production techniques, to communicate
through films. New ideas for mobile film making based on science, technology, environment and health issues and low-cost production techniques for science films were introduced to the participants. The workshops were organised during July-November 2019.
Science filmmakers and national awardees in the area of science films were invited as a resource person for the workshops. Five to eight experimental short films on science & environment were produced in group mode by the participants in each workshop.
