Vigyan Yatra
A Yatra was flagged off from three different cities: Siliguri to Kolkata (JC Bose Yatra), Dhanbad to Kolkata (PC Ray Yatra), and Kharagpur to Kolkata (SN Bose Yatra). The motive behind these Yatras was to ignite the minds of citizens while on its journey through various districts with a stopover at selected venues. The science exhibition mobile vans were viewed by all local school/university students, which created interest and awareness about IISF 2019.
Wellness Conclave and Expo
The Wellness Conclave and Expo was organised as part of IISF for the first time in 2019. The event took place at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Jadavpur from 6 to 7 November 2019. The event aimed to propagate health as the wellness of one’s body, mind, intellect and society. It was aligned with the UN sustainable development goal (SDG) – Good Health and Well Being.
