is building materials such as cement bags, roofing, drywall patch, and foam
boards. The second is the appliance industry for products like
refrigerators, washing machines, driers, and stoves. I stopped by a Sears
Warehouse in our area the other week and was surprised to find that every

refrigerator being unloaded was covered with a stretch hooder bag. While
these are the primary areas of application, other products such as mulch
                                         and soil offer great potential.

Conventional 20" and 30" stretch film commonly used in the US is much more cost effective with much less
film being required to unitize a pallet. Manufacturers who use Stretch Hooder film are not using it for cost
reduction, they are using it for either the high wrapping speeds, high load stability, or to provide 5 sided
protection to their product. There are various grades or formulations of the Stretch Hooder films that do
offer some down gauging benefits such as being able to reduce the gauge from 4 mil to 3 mil ( range ) by
introducing high grade materials and extrusion technologies.

One last, but not least, benefits of Stretch Hooder film is that it can be printed up to 3 colors 2 sides with
your companies logo, and or, products specifications and instructions.
