Excited for the Possibilities Ahead As We Continue to Invest in our Business
At Purity Life, our business is operating normally again with our teams working in our offices and distribution centres, and
our reps on the road meeting with customers and getting back to holding events and meeting with vendors and brokers. At
Purity Life, we are moving forward with optimism for the boom that will come out of the restrictions that we have all just lived
through.
While 2021 was a year of transition for us, from the pandemic surge buying that took place in 2020, it has given us the
opportunity to invest in our systems and processes to keep building a strong platform for growth while continuing to live up to
our brand promise of being #EasyToDoBusinessWith.
In 2020, we were focused on making our systems (software) and processes more efficient in key areas of our business to
continue to focus on our core value of Operational Excellence. Our system/process improvements include:
• Pack and Hold – allowing our system to continually check what has been received, while packing large orders over multiple
days to ensure the maximum fill rate for the orders at the time of shipping.
• Forecast and Allocation – automating our software to allow forecasted orders to be submitted and the system to buy and
allocate/hold inventory for our customers for when they need it to ensure maximum fill rates at the time of shipping.
• Purchasing SPINS Data (US POS Data) and importing it into our Business Intelligence system to be able to identify all the
latest trends in products and categories and be the first to bring them to Canadian retailers to help drive sales growth.
• Enhancing the functionality within CustomerLink to be able to Cut and Paste UPCs into the Quick Entry Order page to
continue to make order submission easy at Purity Life.
• Adding additional Transparency for Ship to Locations within CustomerLink for all order and invoice queries.
• Adding in special limited time Overstock Sale Items – new menu option with applicable products listed.
• Adding additional Product Description Details to CustomerLink.
• Adding a Carousel of Recently Viewed Products in CustomerLink for quick reference.
• Rolled out the QlikSense iPhone App to our sales team so that they can pull up sales and fill rate insights quickly while
working with their customers to help grow their sales.
• Rolled out VidCruiter.com to help us in our hiring process to screen for better candidates in an efficient and user-friendly
manner.
We continue to work on additional internal enhancements to our system, all for the purpose of improving our service levels
(order turnaround times and maximum fill rates). While at the same time, we are also working on additional customer-facing
enhancements, which we expect to roll out by the end of 2021.
For Purity Life, our strategy continues to be about our pursuit of Operational Excellence throughout our business, so that we
can continue to deliver on our brand promise of being #EasyToDoBusinessWith.
To this end, should you have any suggestions on how we can continue to improve our systems or processes, please let us know,
particularly as it relates to CustomerLink, as we would love to hear from you. Most of the best ideas we have for efficiency
improvements come from both our internal staff and external customers.
