Dear Members and Friends of the Show Industry
With the North Run of Shows over, and the Ekka just finished, I have had a lot of reports that all is not financially as sound as other years.
The drought has had a pretty devastating effect of many of the Queensland Shows this year.
I am hoping that the upcoming NSW run will be up to scratch given that they are drought affected also. Let’s just hope.
The Delegates are at this time, putting in a great effort and plenty of time in the organising of the 2019 Gold Coast Show.
It’s not been too easy for them, but they are well versed on all matters to do with this type of layout, and I feel sure that it will be as successful a Show as it was last year.
Owing to my run if ill health the last couple of months, I have not had too much input to this magazine. However, I am just about on top of it now.
I wish to take this moment to thank the Delegates that have worked tirelessly since my illness and have kept me up to date with all that is happening on the run.
