A big hello to all showmen, show societies and
friends of our industry
We are slowly gaining momentum towards our ‘new normal’ as shows and events
are starting to be held quite successfully, and the Australian public are keen to be entertained by our brand of fun and create
their family memories once again.
The capital show circuit is once again on the move with a very successful Sydney Royal Easter Show now behind us, and planning well underway for the Royal Adelaide Show.
Crisis insurance meetings are now being convened and hopefully
will have the desired outcome as operators in all states have been affected harshly and been effectively out of business; some since late 2020.
The insurance crisis has really compounded the effects of Covid-19, fires, floods and droughts that has hit our industry and country recently.
The operators of the bigger rides have certainly had their backs to the wall for some time and I think that we all acknowledge that those spectaculars are the main drawcards to get the patrons through
the gates, so a resolution of the insurance situation is required immediately.
The planning of our country shows is well underway also albeit with control measures in place.
