About the Cover art:
This is a block print I created while attending high school
during the early 1970s in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. The
bird represents our personal freedoms and peace. The hand
represents the oppression that can manifest when the soul is
not allowed to freely grow and naturally develop. Although
I was probably not able to verbally articulate it at the time,
even when I was seventeen I could feel the importance of
the freedom of a soul to manifest through the human
lifetime. This artwork is a metaphor for just that.
About the Title Page art:
This is a work created by one of the most wonderful and
talented artists that ever walked this planet. Her name was
Patt Weaver and I am honored to say that she was a dear
friend. Its title, Peace on Earth, speaks for itself. The world
is now a much less wonderful place since she has left our
earthly existence, but we are fortunate that so much of her
artwork can still be appreciated — and that her soul's
beautiful, positive energy will always benefit the universe.
