2.1 gUIDINg PrINCIPLeS
The following set of guiding principles shall be employed to shape the basis of the strategy:
(a). Audience centred approach
Communication activities should focus on specific audiences with specific messages rather than using generic messages for the entire target audiences. Messages must be tailored to each respective audience.
(b). Focus on behaviour change
All communication interventions will focus on encouraging positive behavior changes as opposed to information dissemination.
(c). Use of multiple communication channels
No one channel of communication is adequate and sufficient for effective information dissemination. A balance shall be struck between mass media and community level channels. Each shall be complimentary to the others and mutually reinforcing in their messages.
metHoDoLogY
(d). Partnership and co-ordination
All implementing partners shall be incorporated to work in a co-ordinated manner with LVNWSB and WSPs in the implementation of this strategy.
(e). Dynamic environment
Given that the environment is constantly changing, the WSPs will recognize the need and use of feedback and new information Successes and challenges shall be considered as they arise and inform the future direction of activities on an on-going basis.
