➢ What are the advantages of evaporating still over evaporating pan?
The system is closed, and the vapor is condensed which:
1. Speeds up evaporation.
2. Reduces labor inconvenience.
3. Allows the equipment to be used for non-aqueous solutions.
4. Closed systems permit operation under reduced pressure, and at
lower temperatures.

➢ What is the major advantage of horizontal tube evaporator over

Higher surface area due to tube bundle So, higher evaporation rate.
