Medigap policy and stand-alone drug plan and decide to remain with that coverage, you should
re-evaluate your stand-alone drug plan’s costs every year during open enrollment.
Scot, please let me know if you have any questions. There are a couple of things to keep in
mind if you make the transition to a Medigap policy and stand-alone drug plan. On your initial
visits to your new doctors after January 1, show the office staff your enrollment cards for your
Medigap plan you’ve selected. And on your first visit to the pharmacy, show them the
enrollment card for the drug plan you’re enrolled in. That will help to avoid any billing
confusion.
