Mr. Chris Tewell

Dear Chris,
You’d asked us to review your prescription drug coverage as well the pricing on your Medigap
policy. Following is a brief summary.
Your prescription drug coverage
Based on the costs shown in the Medicare Plan Finder, you can save more than $700 next year
by switching to a different Rx drug plan. As you probably know, you will need to make that
change no later than December 7.
Your current prescription drug plan – the Humana Walmart Rx Drug Plan – will be closed after
this year. People enrolled in this plan who do not switch to another Medicare prescription drug
plan (PDP) by December 7 will be transferred to the Humana Premier Rx Plan on January 1. The
Humana Premier Rx Plan will have a $69.10 monthly premium next year.
According to the Medicare Plan Finder, the lowest-cost plan for your drugs next year is the
Cigna-HealthSpring Rx Secure Essential prescription drug plan (or PDP), and its enrollment
phone number is (800) 735-1459. As explained in the attachment to this letter, you do not need
to dis-enroll from your current Humana Walmart plan.
Cost comparisons of your current plan and the Cigna-HealthSpring Rx Secure Essential PDP are
shown on the following pages and in the appendices. Millbrook Pharmacy is a preferred
pharmacy in the Cigna-HealthSpring plan and you will get the lowest prices there. After you’ve
switched plans and have received your new enrollment card, show it to the pharmacy so that
they will know you’ve changed your drug plan.
Also, please check your Rx drugs, dosages, and monthly quantities as they were entered in the
Medicare Plan Finder – these are listed in Appendix A. This list was used by the Plan Finder to
rank the plans by their costs for 2020. Let me know if anything there needs to be changed.
Your Medigap policy
You indicated that you and your wife both have Medigap Plan F and that the policies were
issued by CDPHP. As of January 1, 2020, Plan F will no longer be sold to people who turn 65
