PNG, we provide mediation services, peace treaty
writing, Bible Teaching, human development and training
in sustainable development. So far we have helped write
and translate two peace treaties between eight village
groups.
None of this would have been possible, if God hadn't first
commissioned Wycliffe Bible Translators and Thomas R.
Phinnemore (Retired) to translate the Ono New
Testament. Through this translation project, Tom tells a
"Learn't Through Bible Translation" story about
forgiveness from one of the Co-translators. The name of
the co-translator has been lost to time.
Thomas and Penny Phinnemore went to Kip village in
1972 to begin the Ono New Testament Translation
Project, an area known to practice sorcery to this day and
one of the reasons Tom moved his family to Nunzen later
