remember our enemies always. But on the mountain I
was alone with this man. The one who had sorcerized my
father and he died. We were alone on the path. The man
my relatives had told me I should kill; if I ever had the
chance. He was just a few feet ahead of me. Steep cliffs
on the right side and steep cliffs on the left side. I could
easily run up and push him to his death. I thought about
how easy it would be to kill him. Then I thought about
how God had blessed me. I had a good wife and three
healthy daughters. I thought about our work here on the
translation of God’s word. Having thought about all that
      I ‘Threw his offences away’.
Now I knew that you could throw spears, water and
garbage but I didn’t know you could throw ‘offences’. Now
the word offences; these are what we call body part
“idioms” in ONO. The word Offence means something
that irritates or burns your nose. So the whole phrase
‘Throw away those things that burn your nose’ is quite
      powerful in Ono.
