CHURCH IN THE DIGIT AL A GE

As I see it, there are three important
practices for churches and pastors in the
            digital era:

            1 . Value in-person community
2 . Boldly innovate in digital strategy
3 . Become an agile church (I cover

                    this in a separate publication.)

“In-person” refers not only to a traditional
            Sunday church service—there are multiple
            ways this can be achieved.

For several years, I have been creating resources about how the Church can reach Millennials and
Gen Z. I’ve been advocating for innovation and the fusion of the online and offline worlds in order to
reach new generations and reengage them in the local church. Yet, while I have been championing the
integration of technology, I have found myself asking much deeper questions.

What is the biblical meaning of community? Are we pivoting in the right direction for new generations?
Are there new ways of achieving community that will allow churches to scale to global reach?

            Let’s dive deeper together.
