RIVERA HOUSE
GUACHIMONTONES
JALISCO, MÉXICO
This residence doesn't have any privileged views, for this reason, a thorough analysis of the placement of openings on the architectural composition, was required to avoid the creation of inadequate views, towards private areas in the house.
Part of the solution was placing the upper terrace fronting the street but hidden behind a group of columns, offering a play of shadows into the hallway, without exposing the bedrooms directly towards the street.
The back of the house on the first floor is integrated with the garden that serves as an open private space, generating cross-ventilation for the rest of the house, keeping it at a cooler temperature.
The construction rises above street level, adding to the excitement generated by the large volume "hovering" above the main entrance, which serves as covered space for people entering the house.
