Interstitial
The radioactive sources are placed directly in
the target tissue of the affected side, such as
prostate or breast.
It utilizes a transperial template, through
which several hollow tubes are inserted
directly into the tissue.
Commonly used templates include the Syed-
Neblett template & the Martinez Universal
Perineal Interstitial Template (MUPIT).
