O ce Contents
DEFINITION OF CONTENTS
1. Contents shall mean:
1.1 all contents contained in the o ce and/or consul ng room situated as described in the Schedule but excluding documents as de ned in Sub-Sec on C;
1.2 landlord's xtures and ngs, the property of the Insured or for which they are legally responsible;
1.3 property owned by any partner or director or employee of the Insured up to R10 000 (ten thousand Rand) in the case of any one person or R20 000 (twenty thousand Rand) in the aggregate any one event;
1.4 the Company shall not be liable to pay for:
1.4.1 electronic data and processing equipment of any descrip on;
1.4.2 computers and all related hardware and peripherals;
1.4.3 informa on or data stored in or on any of the equipment de ned in 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 or more speci cally insurable under the Electronic Equipment Sec on of the Policy;
1.4.4 copier machines and scanners forming part of a data system or network.
2. Loss of or damage to the whole or part of the property insured under Sub-Sec on C and the consequences thereof insured under Sub-Sec on D.
3. Loss and/or expenditure described in Sub-Sec ons B and E.
LIMITATIONS
The Company's liability under this Sub-Sec on is restricted in respect of documents, manuscripts, business books, plans, designs, pa erns, models and moulds to the value of materials and sums expended in labour.
SPECIFIC EXCEPTION
This Sub-Sec on does not cover:
1. property outside the Republic of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique;
2. designs, pa erns, models or moulds (except to the extent that the said ar cles are insured in terms of Sub- Sec on A), stock in trade, samples, motor vehicles and motor vehicle accessories, money, securi es, stamps, jewellery or precious stones;
3. consequen al loss.
2. SUB-SECTION B – RENT DEFINED EVENTS
Loss of rent actually incurred by the Insured in consequence of the o ce premises or por on thereof being so damaged by any of the perils speci ed in Sub-Sec on A as to be rendered uninhabitable, but only in respect of the period necessary for reinstatement. The indemnity under this Sub-Sec on shall not exceed 30% (thirty percent) of the sum insured or value (whichever is the lesser) of all contents of the o ce premises a ected.
For the purpose of this Sub-Sec on, the term 'o ce premises' shall be deemed to extend to any premises or por on thereof in the vicinity of the o ce premises, damage to which prevents or limits access to the o ce premises.
3. SUB-SECTION C – DOCUMENTS DEFINED EVENTS
Loss of or damage to documents normally kept at the o ce premises by any peril not speci cally excluded up to R50 000 ( y thousand Rand) or the amount stated in the Schedule, whichever is the greater, towards labour and reinstatement cost.
